The goal of the Spanish Club is to immerse the students in Spanish by focusing in conversation. In order to improve vocabulary, we discuss topics related to the Hispanic Culture, play games, and watch appropriate videos. During our meetings we have light refreshments.
The Club has these programs:
ConversationProgram. Students meet every Wednesday at 7:30 AM in the Spanish room (203). During ten minutes a native Spanish speaker talks about a cultural topic showing pictures, videos or objects. At the end, there is a discussion in Spanish. Sample topics are celebrations in Spain, music from Bolivia, recipes, and precolonial civilizations.
Peer tutoring Program. Advanced students help their classmates improve their grammar skills. To schedule a tutor please send an e-mail to:tpaspanishhelp@gmail.com
The Club's blog is coordinated by Luc Reboulet & Maryclare Mooney.
The liaison person is Maryclare Mooney.
